Ikigai works better than 'follow your passion' for students because it asks four questions instead of one, and three of them ('good at', 'world needs', 'paid for') can be researched while 'love' is still forming. Treat your ikigai map as a hypothesis: pick studies and internships that test it, and expect to redraw it every few years.
